Create your customer avatar

Image
Photo: Pictured here is the inside of a medical marijuana dispensary in California. For me, creating a customer avatar is a little tricky because I don’t have a prototypical customer. Most medical marijuana patients suffer from AIDS, cancer and glaucoma, and those patients are of many different demographics: children, young adults, male, female, parents, grandparents, gay, straight, etc. However, they all share one thing in common – they strive to get better and are progressive thinkers in the world of medicine. They possess strong personalities even at times of physical weakness. Therefore, my customer avatar participates in different hobbies and lifestyles (I tried creating three avatars, but the program only let me make one free one). One patient could enjoy a day on the playground, while another might love a good game of chess. Some patients can’t drive at all, while most older patients likely drive mid-sized, neutral-colored SUVs or sedans to fit frie...

Elevator Pitch No. 2

Please click the link below to watch my second attempt at the elevator pitch! https://youtu.be/xyIFBTDsKV8 There wasn't a ton of negative feedback for my first elevator pitch, but I knew I wasn't dressed professionally and I had my laptop placed below eye contact, so the video was filmed a little awkwardly. This time, I went to a brightly lit area and wore business casual clothing. I also tried placing the camera at a higher elevation, which filmed me from a better angle. The first time I tried filming my pitch, I had to redo it a bunch because I was talking fast and messing up. This attempt took one try since I spoke slowly and was less nervous.

What's your secret sauce?

I believe that there are five reasons why I have human capital that makes me stand out amongst my peers: ·       I have a very friendly and welcoming presence. After working at Chick-fil-A for two years, it’s become natural for me to always smile and ignite conversation, trying to make peoples’ days a little better. ·       I put others before myself. Chick-fil-A also taught me this, because I had to serve other peoples’ needs and make sure they’re met before mine. ·       I radiate positivity. People can get down on themselves over little, meaningless things. Those annoyances aren’t part of the big picture in life, so it’s important to stay optimistic and keep striving towards your goals. ·       I’m loud. I’m not afraid to raise my voice and assert dominance when put in a leadership position. ·       I’m driven. I don’t care what it ...

Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2

1.      The next group of people I talked to are actually medical marijuana patients in Gainesville. My roommate once wrote an article about a UF study regarding HIV patients and how medical marijuana helps them, so she was able to give me their contact information so I could speak with them. 2.      During my interviews with the three patients, one of them said that price matters most and the other two mentioned they were more concerned with location/convenience. Because medical marijuana is part of the legal economic market, prices per gram are pretty standard and only increase when THC or CBD concentration increases. One of the interviewees actually recently stopped his consumption of marijuana due to professional reasons, but mentioned that when symptoms of nausea and vomiting due to HIV caused him the most distress, he wanted to find the closest dispensary and get the product immediately. An older female HIV patient said ...
