What's next?
Existing Market
1.
In terms of my products and services, what’s
next is to decide how to we want to brand ourselves and be our core value while
exceeding customer needs. I believe customers are also going to want an
in-store option to be physically able to see the products and ask discuss any
concerns with our staff. If not many customers opt in for the delivery option,
then we’ll start charging a delivery fee.
2.
I went back to the AIDS patients I talked to,
and two said that I should be expecting to make more money with my inventory
and purchases of medical marijuana than the CanCard, and that I shouldn’t
depend on interest. The other patient actually said I should have an
Amazon-like platform where I have a main headquarters with the products, and
they can ship/mail to the patients upon signature.
3.
I really liked the idea of an Amazon set-up
where patients in my HQ could come pick up their prescription in stores while
shipping our quality products within Florida.
New Market
1.
This step is a bit difficult because the
opposite of medical marijuana patients are non-medical marijuana patients, who
don’t have the licensing to purchase my product.
2.
I could expand my store to have high-end vaping
products, from aromatherapy pens to Juuls.
3.
These customers said that even though they
wouldn’t be able to purchase the marijuana products, it’d be interesting to
look through them. And that if I had good deals on vaping products, they’d be
reoccurring customers.
Hi Kristen! I think what you have got going on here is something to really look into for the future. I do agree that some patients are going to want to go to a physical store to look at the product and ask questions, but through your online platform, you should include one of those live chat boxes where a patient could message with a representative of your company live. I also think that this venture could definitely be taken at the national level, but starting out here in Gainesville is safe and smart to build a strong company.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristen,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post. One thing that is tough about your idea is that it is pretty difficult to find a new market to pursue. I think your best way around this is like you said, to expand to non-marijuana based products, which could help you expand your market size as well. This may not be so bad for you after all. Overall, it's great to see the progress that you have made on your idea, and I look forward to reading more in the future.
Hi Kristen!
ReplyDeleteAlthough your idea is tough to find a new market but you could look into states where marijuana is legal. In areas where marijuana is legal you would be exposed to a larger market. This would grant you the opportunity to expand your business. All in all, you have a great idea that is well thought out and has great potential.
